Using The TD510 Tablet Screen To Set Trench Grade

September 21, 2020

In this photo the operator is using the TD510 tablet screen to set his trench grade on the Trimble Earthworks 2D excavator system.  SITECH Northeast has installed an Earthworks 2D system on this Volvo EC145E excavator using mag mounts to temporarily allow the contractor to demo the system.  This gives the buyer the chance to experience the efficiency of knowing the depth and slope of your trench as you dig, from the seat of the excavator, no staking or grade checking involved.

New Technician Training

September 16, 2020

SITECH Northeast is always growing.  We recently brought a new technician on board to our New York Capital District location.  A good way to start his training, putting him to work on a machine we rarely see for a 3D GPS application.  The Komatsu D155 dozer is a large tractor and it too can benefit from 3d Trimble GPS technology to make the operator more productive.

Earthworks Hydraulic Autos

September 04, 2020

SITECH Northeast loves to deliver 3d technology to new users.  In this case the operator is using the Earthworks autos capability to pull grade on each pass.  Watch as the grade stakes laid out the week before by the surveyor go the way of trash heap.  No more cutting around the stake to preserve them.  It is now mass production grading with the Volvo ECR355E excavator using Trimble Earthworks TD520 and dual MS975’s.
